In Éclats du jour – literally translated as “shimmers of the day” – a kaleidoscopic landscape of colour, movement and memory unfolds. The work is composed of a multitude of small, seemingly random shapes that together form a rhythmic and vibrant whole. Each patch of colour feels like a fragment, a snapshot of something that once was: a scent in the morning, laughter at the table, the light falling across a wall.
This composition is not an exact reconstruction of the past, but rather an evocation of what is cherished – fleeting moments that resist being pinned down, yet continue to resonate through colour and texture. The work invites reflection: which memories do we carry with us, and how are they shaped in the layers of our days?
